We invite you to tour our Maternity Center at any point throughout your pregnancy. Tours begin in the Rockford Memorial Hospital lobby every Tuesday at 7 p.m., every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 10 a.m. Registration is not required. Come to a Pre-Admission Maternity Interview

The Pre-Admission Maternity Interview is a personalized appointment with a registered nurse and is free of charge. This appointment should be scheduled in the last six weeks of your pregnancy, except for those having a scheduled C-Section birth, who need an appointment within two days of the surgery. This appointment is especially important for anyone having their first baby, or who has not delivered at Rockford Memorial Hospital before.

The purpose of this visit is to:

Receive information about Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby care, and make plans for your hospital stay.

Complete some paperwork ahead of time.

Clarify your expectations and answer any questions you may have.

Women's Services

The Maternity Center at Rockford Health System offers the highest level of care for both mom and baby. Our Regional Perinatal Center, which includes the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department and High-Risk Perinatal Unit, cares for expectant moms who have complications, while our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit cares for even the tiniest baby.

In addition to our outstanding facilities, we are also the only hospital that has an obstetrician in the facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well an anesthesiologist specifically dedicated to managing pain for women in labor around the clock.

Women’s services at Rockford Health System also includes a Mammography Center, an Osteoporosis Center, and the Positive Reflections Boutique.
